At first glance, there is nothing in Delphine’s physical features that would resemble the usual Cebuano attributes — not until you listen to her speak about her love of Cebu and its people.
Delphine was born in Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but Delphine fell in love with the warmth of Cebuanos and the city’s laidback lifestyle.
Her Passion
A painter by profession, her passion for life — both its magic and tragedy — is eminent in Delphine’s work. De Lorme is also a keen supporter of feminism, which is represented in her femme fatale paintings. She also loves to look for and restore antique furniture and adding her own unique touches to a piece with a painter’s creative eye.
Her Accomplishments
“Live your dream and don’t dream your life” is Delphine’s principle and living out this maxim is what she considers her greatest accomplishment in life.
Dancing in the Rain
Delphine looks up to Cebuanos because of their ability to “dance in the rain”. She believes that the joyous nature of the Cebuanos, even if faced with so much tribulation, makes them colorful individuals.
